Onsite specialist facility. . .
We offer a ‘no downtime’ comprehensive cleaning process. Our environmentally compliant spray booth attends your premises at a convenient out-of-hours time. Steps are removed from the escalator and taken to the facility for cleaning in a purpose-built unit where they are thoroughly degreased - waste residues are retained for safe disposal in accordance with local authority requirements. The steps are then spray painted to the client’s specification within the special facility.
Optional extras such as linished treads, yellow lines etc. can then be added before the step is refitted to the escalator.
Benefits: Removing the step and carrying out the above process ensures that the whole of the step is fully cleaned. This eliminates oil and fluff which builds up on the underside of the step thus reducing the risk of contamination and fire hazards.
Offsite. . .
This service is aimed at the escalator manufacturer, repairer and shop-fitting sector. Here we take advantage of the machine being out of service for a period of time due to scheduled maintenance, such as chain replacement or major refurbishment in conjunction with a total store refit. Working with the principal contractor or escalator company, removed steps can be collected for offsite refurbishment back at our premises as described in the onsite section above. These are then stored in a safe environment, individually packed and later, returned for reinstallation.
Internal fire clean-down. . .
